Roxana Robinson is the author of nine books: five novels, including Cost; three collections of short stories; and the biography Georgia O’Keeffe: A Life. She has twice been a finalist for the NBCC Nona Balakian Award for Criticism. She has twice won the Fiction Award from the Maine Writers and Publishers Association. Her most recent novel, Sparta, was named one of the 10 Best Novels of the Year by the BBC, won the James Webb Fiction Award, and was shortlisted for the prestigious international Dublin Impac Award. Four of her books have been named New York Times Notable Books of the Year.
